Pope Benedict XVI on Faith and Reason
1
2-Sep-06

Pope Benedict's lecture on faith and reason at the University of Regensburg on 12 September 2006 had a significant impact on the state of the world: (1) It triggered a global Islamic protest; and (2) it was followed immediately by a surge in the Very High Destructive Potential Entailed in Economic Uncertainty. See the Threat Assessments on:
26-Sep-06
8-Oct-06
11-Oct-06
12-Oct-06

While correlation of events is no proof of causality, the inevitable dissipation of the Destructive Potential, which swelled immediately after Benedict's lecture, can (1) increase the Propitiousness for Terrorism; and (2) trigger a CODE RED terrorism Alert. A high risk event, such as the testing of a nuclear weapon by North Korea on 9-Oct-06, can cause the conversion of the Destructive Potential into real violence.
